Energy Management Program: ACG’s Energy Management Program (EMP) is explicitly commissioning based, giving it a focus that is unique to the industry. As outlined in the Energy Management Guideline, the EMP process is a combination of existing building commissioning and sound energy management analysis. The EMP addresses the building's overall performance, and uses cost-effective approaches to existing building commissioning (EBCx). The Energy Management Guideline represents a new approach that provides energy savings to help pay for EBCx, thus helping to further reduce energy use while ensuring optimum building performance.   EMP SEMINAR & CERTIFICATION EXAM The EMP Seminar includes 1.5 days of education, based on the Energy Management Guideline and how this process can be applied within the context of Commissioning.   Steps to Becoming EMP Certified: EMP Certification is open only to ACG‘Certified Commissioning Authorities (CxAs). Review the Energy Management Guideline, which is the primary study material for the EMP exam. Register for an EMP event. To register, a separate certification application must also be submitted.
