ACG is pleased to announce that the Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) program has achieved accreditation by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)!

By gaining ANSI accreditation, the CxA credential is also now a recognized certification by the Department of Energy’s Better Buildings® Workforce Guidelines program, ensuring that the CxA is considered an approved commissioning credential for all federally funded projects. In addition, the combination of ANSI accreditation and Better Buildings recognition means that any state or local jurisdiction, code organization, or others seeking to ensure that they are using an industry-accepted, third-party validated, ISO 17024-compliant commissioning certification can confidently specify ACG’s certified commissioning authority.

The recognition of the CxA credential by these two programs, combined with the largest pool of certified commissioning providers in the world and ACG members’ longstanding commitment to the principle of independent, third-party commissioning services, cements the CxA as the preeminent commissioning credential for both new and existing buildings.
